With more than 6,000 employees and 14,000 students, the Research Campus Garching in north Munich is one of the largest centers for science , research and teaching in Germany. Here you can find a unique concentration of scientific and technological research institutions: The main location of the Technical University of Munich, several institutes of the Max Planck Society, the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich , the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and numerous other renowned institutions and companies. Areas of specialization range from basic research to the development of promising high-tech applications. For English speaking people there will be at least two tours: one at LRZ (SuperMuc) and one at FRM II. In addition, almost all people at the exhibitions will be able to give their explanations in English.
